SPRING VALLEY — La Leche League of the Illinois Valley, a breastfeeding support group, will meet at 10 a.m. March 21 in Spring Valley. This monthly group helps mothers gain knowledge and support from other breastfeeding moms. PRINCETON — The Covered Bridge Quilters Guild will sponsor a quilt show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 16 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 17 at the Bureau County Fairgrounds in Princeton. Two very famous quilters, Mary Jane Mattingly and Susan Knapp, will be the guests and speakers. They are founders of the “’Quilt Branch,” publishers of 11 books and creators of more than 40 patters of quilts, runners, etc.
MALDEN — Humpty Dumpty Preschool in Malden will hold a chicken dinner fundraiser from 4 to 8 p.m. March 18 at JT’s Bar and Grill in Cherry. Dinner includes a quarter chicken or chicken strips, french fries and dessert for $7 a person. There will also be raffles and a 50/50 drawing. Carry-outs will be available and walk-ins are welcome. All tips will be donated to the preschool.
PRINCETON — The Princeton Moose Lodge will host bingo at 7 p.m. Tuesday and again March 19. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and sandwiches will be available for purchase.

PRINCETON — American Legion Post 125 of Princeton is asking those who have borrowed hospital equipment to return same as soon as possible if no longer needed, especially wheelchairs. Items may be left in the vestibule and should include a note with the name or a printed return address label on the item being returned.
