SHEFFIELD — Donald Bill, 84, of Sheffield died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.
Donald was born Oct. 14, 1928, in rural Sheffield, the son of Homer and Frankie (Fishburn) Bill. He was united in marriage to Janice Cockerill on Feb. 3, 1999, in Las Vegas, Nev. He farmed in the Sheffield area until retirement.
Donald was a member of the Sheffield United Church of Christ, Walnut Masonic Lodge and Marlin Firearms Collectors Association, and was a life-time member of the NRA. He enjoyed collecting antique firearms, and he loved local history.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Cockerill of Sheffield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the United Church of Christ in Sheffield with the Rev. Jane Courtright officiating. Burial will be in the Sheffield Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Sheffield, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
