Lenten services, meditations and luncheons

PRINCETON — Hungry guests were greeted with warm smiles and hot soup on Feb. 20 at the Hampshire Colony Congregational Church for the first Lenten service and musical interlude of “Blaze” composed of the McCauley/Suarez families in the church sanctuary.

A luncheon followed downstairs in Fellowship Hall. Bonnie Bangert was the coordinator. Kitchen helpers included Carol Fisher, Marcia Roberts, Mary Lou Sanders, Pat Hansen, Leanore Sapp, Judy Topham, Marian Lovgren and Susie Bishop.

This is the 60th-plus year for HCCC to conduct the services with lunch to follow at the church, located at 604 S. Church St., Princeton.
