BCGS will meet earlier in March

PRINCETON — The Bureau County Genealogy Society has changed the typical fourth Thursday monthly meeting due to Holy Week activities in the community. For this month only, the meeting will be at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, despite an error in time published in the recent Society newsletter.

The program will be Mick Henneberry of Princeton, an attorney and skilled story teller. He has been a popular presenter in the past at BCGS. This program will consist of tales, humor and “cowboy poetry.” Recording and sharing family stories can be a valuable part of genealogy. The public is cordially invited to attend this free program.

BCGS is still working with a Danish filming company that is preparing a script for a television show in their country which has Sheffield connections. Four members of the Danish team are expected to arrive in the county in early April to film for that program.
