Obituaries

Roy Epperson

WALNUT — Roy A. Epperson, 61, of Walnut died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at his home in Walnut.

He was born Jan. 7, 1952, in Princeton, the son of William and Edna (Glaze) Epperson.

He was a graduate from Walnut High School, Sauk Valley Community College, Illinois State University and Mountain View College in Dallas, Texas. He worked at ALCATEL in Plano, Texas, as a senior electronics technician for more than 20 years. He was a life-long model train enthusiast.

Surviving are one brother, William Lewis (Susan) Epperson of Walnut; one sister, Sandra Rideout of Morrison; and two nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by parents and one brother-in-law.

Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to the Walnut Fire Department.

The Garland Funeral Home in Walnut completed the arrangements.
