‘In honor of ...’

PRINCETON — A special honor guard memorial ceremony in honor of two recently passed commanders of American Legion Post 125 was conducted Feb. 13. Those honored were Robert Doyle and Leonard Lourdeau. Both former commanders passed in December 2012.

Tom Burke, honor guard coordinator, called command. Rowland “Skipp” Munn was the bugler and chaplain Mike Arnett led the group in prayer

Those attending the ceremony were Christine Lourdeau and sons of Princeton and Louis Lourdeau of Bishop Hill, and the ladies of American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Unit 125. The honor guardsmen were Terry DeSalle, Ray Nelson, John Cutich, David Ohlson, Brad Oeder, Louis Foley, Hector Gomez, Brian Lucas, Vern Sondgeroth and Rich Fulkerson.

The honor guard is made up of former U.S. military veteran members of the American Legion Post 125, AMVETS Post 180 and V.F.W. Post 4323.
