Margaret Sutcliffe

PRINCETON — Margaret Mary Sutcliffe, 84, of Princeton passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Colonial Rehab and Nursing Center in Princeton.

She was born Jan. 15, 1929, in Sheffield to Alphonse and Mary (Cain) Van Cauwenberge. She worked for LCN for many years. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. Margaret married Arnold Keith Lind in 1950 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sheffield. He died in 1955. She then married John Arthur Sutcliffe in 1963 at St. Louis Catholic Church. He died in 1972.

She is survived by her children, Carol (David) Holden of Washington, Ill., Susan (Duane) Swanson of the state of Ohio and John (Bethanne) Sutcliffe of Minn.; her stepchildren, Nancy (John) Wolter of Normal, Carol (Dennis) Keleher of Michigan and Linda (Jim) Carter of Princeton; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Surviving as well is one brother, William (Lu) Van Cauwenberge of Spring Valley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her best friend and companion of many years, Richard "Dick" Gibons of Princeton.
