Boxes of food + a chef + hungry kids = ZBest

ZBest Cafe on Main Chef Eran Salzmann (left) serves Princeton High School Cooking Club member Olivia Hardy during an event held at Salzmann’s Sheffield restaurant/cafe. Students in the Cooking Club, which is part of the 21st Century grant program, presented Salzmann with two boxes of about 20 different food products — everything from scallops and clams to asparagus, lemons and more; Salzmann was then charged with preparing a variety of dishes with the products, which he served to the students Tuesday afternoon. Salzmann also spoke to the students about his culinary profession and the path he took to become a chef. PHS teachers are Wendy Fredrickson and Emily Happ. Teacher’s aide is Melissa Irizarry. Julie Swedman is the 21st Century site coordinator.
