Girls state wrestling

Princeton’s Shaylynn Hartmann, 11, competed in the inaugural Illinois Girls State Wrestling Tournament in Yorkville over the weekend. There were 99 girls from kindergarten to seniors in high school competing. Hartmann placed third in the middle school 75-77 pound division, defeating Lexi Riemann from Riverton 11-2. She finished with a 3-2 record wrestling against girls this season while also wrestling with the Tiger Town Tanglers boys team.
