AMARILLO, Texas — James C. Rountree of Amarillo, Texas, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at his home.
Born to James Homer and Mettie Irene Rountree, he married Carleen Anderson Nov. 23, 1989, in the Bache Memorial Chapel in Van Orin. She survives.
He and his wife built their home in Amarillo, Texas. He retired as a pharmacist.
Also surviving are one son, Randy; one sister, Nettie; his mother-in-law, Marrietta Anderson of Princeton; and two sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Dave) Philhower of Kasbeer and Carmen (Gene) Fairley of Jefferson City, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Robbie; two brothers, Cliff and his twin brother, Joe; and six sisters.
A memorial service was held at BSA Hospice Rose Chapel in Amarillo, Texas.
