Rods note 60th wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rod

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rod of Princeton will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday.

Ralph Rod and the former Pat Roth eloped and were united in marriage March 31, 1953, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Clarion by the Rev. J.T. Meyer.

Their attendants included Joyce (Brown) Hoffman and James Rod.

They are the parents of six children, Donna Braida of Princeton, Duane (Linda) Rod of Princeton, Darwin (Alice) Rod of Katy, Texas, Dale (Donna) Rod of Marco Island, Fla., Dawn (Craig) Sluis of Princeton, and Diane (John) Young of Spring Valley. They also have 22 grandchildren (one deceased) and 20 great-grandchildren.

The couple moved to Princeton in 1962 where Ralph partnered with Diller Implement becoming the present Diller-Rod Inc.

Through the years, both have been very active volunteers in the Princeton community.
