What would you buy with your St. Patrick’s Day pot of gold?

John F. Kennedy third-grade teacher Laura Patyk read her class a story called, “The Night Before St.Patrick’s Day.” The book was about children trying to catch a leprechaun, so they could take the “Pot of Gold.” Patyk asked her class what they would do if they caught the leprechaun and had a pot of gold to spend. Here is what they said. (For added interest, the BCR has printed the students’ responses exactly the way the students wrote them.)

If I had a pot of gold I would buy a mansion then all my friends could live there with me. I would also donate it to St. Jude because some kids’s parents cant afford wigs for there kids.
