Red Devils will be well armed

SPRING VALLEY — As we wait to see exactly when baseball season is going to begin in the area, Hall is preparing for a new season with three seniors and 10 juniors on the roster. After a strong 2012 season, coach Tom Keegan is eager to see his kids take the field and show him what he has in action.

“On paper we have a chance to compete. But, paper is paper. And we’ll see what happens when we get on the diamond,” Keegan said. “We have some kids that we’ve returned that were part of a pretty successful campaign last year in the overall season. Hopefully, we can turn that into some wins and be playing good baseball come regional time.”

Regarding his returning players Keegan said, “I’m in the same boat as everybody else. I know who’s coming back, and in terms of the juniors and how they’re going to perform, we’re going to have to see what they do. “The kids coming back are led by Brett Fanning and Danny Nolasco. We need to be able to (play) on the mound, in the position and be able to swing the bat too.”
