CLINTON, Iowa — Billy Ray Sims Sr., 69, of Clinton, Iowa, formerly of Tiskilwa, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013, in his home.

He was born on May 22, 1943, in Princeton to Gusty and Cordie (Cain) Sims. He married Marty Ervin on April 28, 1963. He was a graduate of Tiskilwa High School. He had worked at LCN Door Closers in Princeton. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tiskilwa.
 
He is survived by his sons, Billy (Cindy) Sims Jr. and Mike Sims, both of Clinton, Iowa; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Doris Ann (Charlie) Mason of Princeton, and Joanne (Terry) Henkins of Princeton.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Marty, in 1988.
