What’s behind the badge?

I just wonder sometimes what makes an officer feel that he has to take his power overboard. I mean doesn’t having a badge already make you feared? Why would someone have to take their job overboard? I never thought there would come a day when you would not be able to trust an officer or think that they would do shady things just to get their way or to ruin someone’s life just to think that they proved a point. The only man that has the right to judge anyone is God. Last time I looked, no one in this world was made the new god. I do believe in Karma, and it will come back around. If the person is not judged on this earth, trust me, you will be when you go in front of our maker. I think they should make becoming a police officer more strict and get to know the person before just handing them a badge and gun and sending them on their merry way because some people do not have the right to wear a badge and say they will protect and serve. How can someone protect and serve when they are the ones doing the harm? But small town officers get away with it because people are afraid to complain because of retaliation or being harassed. Someday people will speak up, and when they do, hopefully the whole truth comes out.
