Donald Reynolds

PRINCETON — Donald Eugene Reynolds, 80, of Princeton passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

He was born Oct. 26, 1932, in Sheffield to Richard Amos and Nanna Belle (Hash) Reynolds. He married Marjorie McKune on Dec. 11, 1954. She survives.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1957 on the Naval Destroyer USS Barton. He was a rural postal carrier for 28 years in the Bureau County area. He farmed all of his life in Bureau County and belonged to the Farm Bureau. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling/visiting Missouri and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie of Princeton; his children, Ronald L. Reynolds of Princeton, Edward J. Reynolds of Godfrey, Ill., Linda A. (Terry) Dant of Princeton and Patricia M. Reynolds of Princeton. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Bethany (William) Depper, Alicia (Chris) McAninch, Stephen Reynolds, Jennifer Reynolds, J.T. Dant, and Steven, Catlyn and Eric Rauh; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant sister, Anna Belle; four sisters, Lillian (Verner) Hensel, Pauline (Elmer) Danielson, Amy (Starl) Warfield and his twin sister, Dorothy (Gail) Etheridge; and one brother, Albert Reynolds.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Lloyd Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Princeton.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or the donor's choice.
