No staff cuts at PHS
PRINCETON — Princeton High School Board took several personnel actions at Wednesday’s meeting, but none of them dealt with reducing the number of staff for next year.
“I’m very happy to announce we will not be making any reductions,” Superintendent Kirk Haring said.
Instead, the PHS Board approved rehiring five non-tenured teachers for the coming school year, including Tim Ciesielski, as an industrial arts teacher; Brandon Crawford, choral and instrumental music; Emily Happ, family and consumer science teacher; and Rob Jackson and Duane Price, both in the English Department. Crawford has been with PHS for three years, Ciesielski and Happ for two years, and Jackson and Price for one year each. Tenure is based upon the completion of four years of service.
