The Princeton boys tennis team blanked Peoria Central 9-0 Thursday. In singles action, Princeton’s Zach Hicks defeated Peoria Central’s Charles Irby at number one singles, 6-0 and 6-1. Princeton’s Brady Frank defeated PC’s Felipe Diaz at number two singles, 6-0, 6-1. Princeton’s Elliott Beetz downed PC’s Anthony Robinson at number three singles, 6-0, 6-1. Princeton’s Ian Nichols won over PC’s Gavin Straud at number four singles, 6-0, 6-0. Princeton’s Miguel Austen at number five singles and Connor Bays at number six singles both won by forfeit. In doubles action, Princeton’s Frank and Beetz defeated PC’s Irby and Robinson 6-1, 6-0; Princeton’s Austen and Nichols downed PC’s Diaz and Straud 6-4, 6-0; Princeton’s Nick Toth and Joanthan Kaler (P) won by forfeit at number three doubles.
