Princeton organizations will offer a variety of art and cultural events this weekend

PRINCETON — The Prairie Arts Center, 24 Park Ave. East in Princeton, will host its First Friday opening artist reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, featuring artist Sharyl Iwanski from Plano. The exhibit is open through April 21.

“The Architecture of Art” is the title for this year’s annual community art show hosted by the Princeton Public Library, 698 E. Peru St., with an opening reception from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday. The exhibit continues through April 27.

Princeton Arts Academy will present a spring art show featuring artwork of its students from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday in the lobby of the Grace Performing Arts Center, 316 S. Main St., Princeton.

The Bureau County Genealogical Society, 629 S. Main St., Princeton, is open the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers are available to assist anyone interested in finding out about their ancestry. Stop in and visit for moreinformation.

All events are open and free to the public.
