Ag in the Classroom golf outing set
The Bureau and Lee County Farm Bureaus will host their fourth annual golf outing for supporters of Ag in the Classroom. The outing will be held June 28 at Hunters Ridge Golf Course in Princeton. The tournament will be a shot-gun start, four-person scramble. Tee time is 9 a.m. and lunch (provided by Country Financial) will be served for all teams and sponsors during the event. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Bureau and Lee County Ag in the Classroom program.
Bureau County Farm Bureau Manager Jill Frueh said today’s youth are two and three generations removed from the farm.
"That’s why we feel it is so important to bring agriculture awareness to local students," she said. "Supporting the Ag in the Classroom program helps us provide free agriculture materials, presentations and resources to local teachers and classrooms in Bureau and Lee Counties. So, whether you consider yourself 'good on the green' or just want to have a fun day out, this is the tournament for you!"
Team fees are $200 for basic registration, $225 for super registration and $250 for premium registration. Registration includes 18-holes of golf, one-half cart and lunch.
Registration is suggested by June 21. Registration after the deadline will be accepted if space is available. For more information, call 815-875-6468.
