Eleven members of the Bureau Valley FFA Chapter competed in the Section Livestock CDE contest Feb. 9. The purpose of the career development event, which took place at Black Hawk East, was to stimulate learning activities related to the production/marketing of cattle, sheep and swine. Competing were Jessica Loudenberg (front row, from left), Darcy Kepner, Carlie Bickett and Kristyn Ehnle; Paul Donovan (second row, from left), Dalton Kepner, Trevin Kennedy, Blaine Peterson and Tom Brummel; and Garret Jackson (back row, from left), Chris Schynk and Captain Jordan Monier. Bureau Valley FFA placed first overall with a team score of 1,107. Leading team scorers were Loudenberg with 380 points, Kennedy with 376 points, and Monier with 367 points.
