SVHA will sponsor free program on Tuesday

SPRING VALLEY — The Spring Valley Historic Association (SVHA) will sponsor a free program called “Stories From Your Past, A Legacy For The Future,” presented by Rachel Schwarzendruber, family life specialist from the University of Illinois Extension, at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the museum at 201 W. St. Paul Street, Spring Valley.

This is a workshop where participants will be able to share and exchange ideas. No prior writing skills are needed as the emphasis of the workshop is on telling the story.  The only requirement is that participants are open to try the ideas suggested.

The SVHA Museum is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by appointment. Memberships are $15 a year per individual and $20 a year per family. Membership forms may be downloaded from the city of Spring Valley’s website at www.spring-valley.il.us. For more information, call 815-830-4303.
