Lady Bruins hits rain on Princeton

St. Bede pushed over seven runs on six straight hits in the fourth inning to roll to a 10-0 win at Princeton Tuesday in NCIC softball play.

She has been a great addition to our team.”

Heidi James led off the home half of the first inning with a double off the fence, promptly ending the hitless streak of St. Bede’s Lainie Schweickert, who had retired all 18 Hall batters she faced Monday.

The Lady Bruins ace would go on to throw another shutout, however, allowing just one walk and four hits while fanning eight. James stroked another hit with Daneille Hughes (1-2) and Makenzey Wilson (1-2) also hitting safely for PHS (2-4, 0-1).
