BUREAU COUNTY — Bureau County 4-H clubs are working to fight hunger through providing food to families who need it.

During the week before Easter, 4-H clubs compiled baskets of non-perishable food to donate and took them to the University of Illinois Extension office. On March 28, 4-H Federation met to add hams to the baskets and prepare them for delivery. The completed baskets were donated to the Department of Human Services for distribution to their clients. The 4-H clubs donated a total of 18 baskets of food for local residents.
