PRINCETON — Princeton Buddy Bags will hold a fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Bella’s Italian Restaurant. Participants will have the option for buying one all-you-can-eat ticket for $8 or a family meal with a bucket of spaghetti and garlic bread for $14. Buddy Bags is an ecumenical program to provide food on the weekends to children whose primary source of nutrition is the free breakfast/lunch programs at school. PRINCETON — Bureau County Relay For Life will hold its kick off event at 7 p.m. April 25 at Soldiers and Sailors Park in Princeton. Anyone who has been touched by cancer is welcome to attend. There is no cost.
SHEFFIELD — The First United Church of Christ in Sheffield will host its monthly community coffee from 7 to 10 a.m. May 4 in the UCC Parish Hall. Fresh-baked cinnamon rolls will be served.
LASALLE — The first flower and plant sale fundraiser benefiting the Illinois Valley Center for Independent Living and Grace United Methodist Church will be May 3-4 in the church parking lot, 1345 Chartres St. in LaSalle. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 3 and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 4. Products are from Mid American Growers and Hornbaker Gardens.
KEWANEE — The Henry County Genealogical Society will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Kewanee Public Library Second Floor meeting room. An elevator is available at the First Street entrance. Delores Seckman and her daughter, Tanya, will be in Civil War costumes and present a program of new arrangements of Civil War songs. Everyone is welcome.
