Unlawful possession of cannabis

Daniel J. Price, 28, of Magnolia was charged with the unlawful possession of cannabis, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, driving with a suspended license, disobeying a stop sign, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and loud defective exhaust in the 400 block of North Richards Street at 3:52 p.m. April 11.

Warrant arrest

Tammy L. Lucas, 48, of Spring Valley was arrested on a Bureau County warrant for failure to appear on on a charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance in the 100 block of South Spalding Street at 8:23 a.m. April 11.


William T. Copples, 41, of Oglesby was charged with battery following an altercation at Knight Ryders Bar at 6:15 p.m. April 10.


Rebecca J. Pecher, 46, of Spring Valley backed into a mailbox at 4 Oak Ridge Drive at 8:45 p.m. April 13.

Brandon M. Chasteen, 18, of Peru struck a parked vehicle belonging to John C. Oliver, 37, of Spring Valley in the 300 block of Richards Street at 12:03 a.m. April 16. Chasteen was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
