Expanding again at Central Bank in Princeton

PRINCETON — Central Bank in Princeton is expanding just two years after the bank expanded in 2011.

Rick Clary, community bank president, said, “We have outgrown our existing space due to growth in customers and clients the last few years.”

The current 1,220-square-foot expansion consists of three additional offices on the north side of the building going toward Company Street. Additional storage plus a larger teller area on the southeast corner of the building for an expanded teller line is also included in the expansion project, added Clary.

During the construction phase, which is expected to be completed by Aug. 1, one block of Company Street from Main to Vernon streets will be closed to all traffic for safety reasons, he added.

Central Bank came to Princeton and opened an office in January of 2007. The former Hardee’s was purchased in July 2007 with it being renovated into a bank by November of that year. Additional space was added to that building in 2011.
