MANLIUS – The Bureau Valley FFA Chapter held its annual FFA banquet on March 19 at Bureau Valley High School.
The banquet began with the opening ceremonies conducted by the officer team. Highlights of the meeting included students receiving Greenhand and Chapter degrees, academic awards, and the acknowledgement of the career development teams and proficiency awards.
At the end of this meeting, the new FFA officer team was installed. The new FFA officers include Andrew Smith – president, Samantha Haney – vice president, Kelly Sierens – secretary, Kalie Rumbold – treasurer, Lauren Peterson – reporter, and Kristyn Ehnle – sentinel.
The evening was capped off with the labor auction, held by Rick Rediger of Rediger Auction Service. This year’s labor auction raised a record total of $11,100, to be used for funding chapter activities throughout the upcoming year.
