SPRING VALLEY — The Hall Booster Organization will sponsor the Hall Prom Afterglow on April 27.
This will be the 25th year that HBO has offered a post prom event for students that is a drug and alcohol free evening. Prom attendees will be announced to the public at the high school gym at 10:45 p.m. The couples are then escorted into the school where rooms have been transformed into a walk through the park, a ballroom and casino. Students can enjoy food, drink, dancing or games of chance. An auction ends the evening with prizes that have been donated by many of our local businesses and supporters.
Decorating will begin at 4 p.m. Friday at Hall High School. Anyone is welcome to help with set up and prom attendee parents are all asked to help with the weekend festivities. On Saturday, Afterglow workers are asked to report to the cafeteria at 10:15 p.m. and food donations can be dropped off at the cafeteria from 9 to 10:30 p.m. Once the couples are announced, the school is only open to prom attendees and workers. Cleanup begins at 9 a.m. Sunday.
Hall’s Prom Afterglow has been a success for so many years due to the generosity and time given by parents and the community. This event has been a highlight for many of Hall High School’s students. Questions may be directed to Shanon at 815-878-5332 or Vicki at 815-303-2584.
