SEATONVILLE — The Seatonville Village Board meeting on April 8 was called to order by President Bill Heitz.
Roll call showed Heitz, Brown, Errio, Z. Plum, Wood and Ziel present, with L. Plym absent.
Minutes and the March treasurer’s report were read and approved.
In correspondence, the village board received approval of a certified water operator change from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and received information from the Illinois Commerce Commission regarding the Fiscal Year 2014-18 crossing safety improvement program’s five-year plan.
The village board also received notification from Bureau County Sheriff Deputy James Reed that he found the village hall secure on April 4, 2013.
In old business, the council discussed the water plant and the tree removal progress.
In new business, the council discussed the village clean-up day will be May 24 and that notification as to what will be accepted, and not accepted, has been posted at village hall and at the post office.
In other business:
• The council approved the purchase of payroll software.
The council also discussed that a resident has volunteered to help organize events if the village requests it.
The council approved payment of bills as follows: $2,216 in the general fund; $5,591 in the water department; and $1,061 in the garbage department.
