Applications for 2013 Bureau County Fair Queen pageants will be accepted starting Monday

PRINCETON — The Bureau County Fair Queen Pageant committee has announced that they will be accepting applications for the 2013 Miss Bureau County Fair Queen Pageants starting Monday.

In order to apply those interested must send an email to bureaucofairqueenpageant@gmail.com or call Tracy Diehl at 309-507-2596. The pageant is scheduled for Aug. 4 at Princeton High School. Those interested can also see information on the 2013 Bureau County Fair Queens’ Facebook.

The age divisions for the pageant are:

• Miss — no younger than 16 on Aug. 4, or older than 21 on Jan. 16.

• Junior — no younger than 12 on Aug. 4, and no older than 14 on Aug. 4.

• Little — no younger than 6 on Aug. 4, and no older than 8 on Aug. 4.

To compete for the Junior or Little pageants girls must reside in Bureau County. For the Miss competition, young ladies must reside in Bureau, Lee, Whiteside, Stark, Henry, LaSalle, Marshall or Putnam.

Winners of the title of Miss, Junior Miss or Little Miss, and their courts, will reign over the Bureau County Fair slated for Aug. 21-25, this year featuring Justin Moore on Aug. 23.

The 2012 reigning royalty are Miss Bureau County Fair Queen Tiana Maupin, Junior Miss Bureau County Fair Queen Alison Brown and Little Miss Bureau County Fair Queen Hope Whitgsil.
