LADD — Jim Maloney, owner and operator of Malones Repair, has opened a new Ladd facility at 201 S. Main Ave., the former site of Ziel’s Texaco.

“We are very excited to open the new Ladd facility,” said Maloney, who has been in the automotive repair and tuning field for 38 years. “It allows us to move a bit closer to our long-standing customers who come to us from all over the Illinois Valley including Spring Valley (Maloney’s hometown), DePue, Princeton, LaSalle-Peru, Oglesby, Seatonville and many other towns in the area.”

In business in Cherry since 1995, Malones Repair specializes in automotive and truck brake repair/replacement, engine diagnostics, tune-ups, and suspension systems in all makes and models.

The Ladd shop is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Maloney, who can be contacted at 815-303-2967, came up with the name of his business by using his nickname of Malones. Malones Repair also has a Facebook page.

Maloney shares the building with Cherry Small Engine, owned by Rick Wlodarchak.

The slogan of Malones Repair is “Many Years of Experience and Low Overhead Allows the Big Benefit to the Customer.”
