‘Heartache Tonight’

PRINCETON — “Heartache Tonight,” a tribute concert to the music of the famous rock band, the Eagles, will be at 7:30 p.m. May 4 at the Grace Performing Arts Center, 316 S. Maim St., Princeton. Six musicians in live performance reprise the harmonies and guitar-playing of the original Eagles. Individual tickets are $18. PRINCETON — The Princeton Moose Lodge will host a bingo night at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and sandwiches will be available for purchase. The Lodge will also host bingo nights on May 7 and 21.. For more information, call the Lodge at 815-879-5261.


PRINCETON — The First Congregational Church of Bureau Relay for Life team will host a yard sale from noon to 6 p.m. May 2 and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 3 at 711 E. Central Ave. in Princeton. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Be the Match registry

PRINCETON — Bureau County Thrivent Chapter will sponsor a “Be the Match” registry from 9 a.m. to noon May 4 at the Bureau County Metro Center, 837 Park Ave. West in Princeton. To join the drive, volunteers need to be between the ages of 18 and 44 and be willing to donate to any patient in need and meet the health guidelines. The registry takes only 10 minutes as volunteers fill out a questionnaire and swab their cheeks with a Q-tip.

Cookout planned

WYANET — Bureau Valley South track will host a cookout from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Wyanet Locker. The menu will include rib eyes, butterfly chops, pork burgers, brats, hot dogs, chips and pop.

Blood drive

PRINCETON — An American Red Cross blood drive will be from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Princeton. For an appointment, call 815-879-2231. Walk-ins are welcome. A photo ID is required. Those who last donated before March 7 are eligible.

Car wash

WALNUT — The Walnut Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops will host a car wash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 18 in the Citizens First State Bank parking lot. Washes are $5 for cars, $7 for vans. Lunch will be available for purchase. The event is sponsored by Panther Outdoor Maintenance Services Inc. All proceeds will go toward fees for day camp.

PCHS musical

GRANVILLE — Putnam County High School will present “Schoolhouse Rock, Live!” at 7:30 p.m. May 2 and 3 at Putnam County High School. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for non PCHS students. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and tickets will be available at the door.
