Stocking, Lady Devils blank Henry

Stephanie Stocking took care of the pitching, and her teammates took care of the offense for Hall in a 16-0 win over Henry-Senachwine in Tri-County Conference softball action Thursday.

Stocking pitched a six-hit shutout, striking out three batters while walking two for the win.

Brenna Faletti led the Lady Devil offensive attack with three hits and two RBIs. Deidra Whightsil (3 RBIs), Rebecca Herrmann (2 RBIs) and Abbey Azarskis (2 doubles, 3 RBIs) each had two hits.

The win was the first for Hall in TCC play in improving to 1-3 and to 3-8 overall.

St. Bede 9, Marquette 3: Emmi Christensen took the victory in the circle for the Lady Bruins Wednesday, striking out seven Cru batters while scattering five hits and three walks. Lainie Schweickert led the Lady Bruins’ offense with three hits, with Mo Dean (2 rbis), Nicole Yaklich and Tara Kunkel (rbi) all adding two hits.

St. Bede 16, Princeton 2 (F/S): Winning pitcher Brianna Lau put the 10-run rule into effect with a bases-loaded triple in the sixth inning Thursday in Princeton.
