PRINCETON — Elsie Jean Jackson, 74, of Princeton passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Colonial Rehab and Nursing Center in Princeton.
Born Aug. 31, 1938, in Ohio, Ill., to John Carl and Matilda (Miller) Erickson, she married Robert James Jackson April 5, 1958, in Manlius. He died Jan. 17, 2007.
She graduated from Bureau Township High School. She was a member of Dover Bible Church and was a life-long homemaker. She was a youth group leader at the Van Orin Gospel Church for several years, was a member of the Dover Women's Fellowship and was a life member of the Bureau County Fair.
Surviving are four children, Judy (Tim) Harris, Jerry (Patti) Jackson, Larry (Joan) Jackson and Loren Jackson, all of Princeton; 12 grandchildren, Aaron Harris, Scott (April) Jackson, Bryan Jackson, Quille Jackson, Jacob, Aliyah and Ernie, Ben and Brody Jackson, and Angelica and Julia Jones, all of Princeton, and Jennifer (Andy) Slivka of Chicago Heights; two sisters, Alice Morris and Helen (Gary) Vaughn, both of Princeton; and one brother, Robert Erickson of Princeton.
She was also preceded by her parents; one granddaughter, Mary Jackson-Knuth; three brothers, Russell, Arthur and Jack Erickson; and three sisters, Margaret Schaill, Martha Hoffman and Minnie Shipp.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton. Burial will be in Prairie Repose Cemetery, Dover.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
