Hofferts lead BV at Eureka
Lauren Peterson was the lone winner for the Storm, claiming the 100 hurdles with a time of 18.35 in Friday’s Roger Washburn Invitational at Eureka. The Storm placed fifth (53) as a team with the host Hornets edging Pontiac for first 95-93.
The Storm’s Lindsey Hoffert had a hat trick of seconds in the long jump (16-5), 400 (1:03.12) and 200 (27.97). BV’s Regan Weidner ran second in the 3200 (12:10.37). The Storm also placed third in the 4x100 (53.24).
“It was nice to have a good evening to compete. We had some real nice performances, highlighted by Lauren Peterson’s victory in the 100 HH. She has been working real hard in the hurdles and it paid off,” BV coach Dale Donner said.
