After nearly two months since a fire destroyed Habanero’s Mexican Grill and Cantina in downtown Princeton, the clean-up and investigation into what caused the fire began this week. On Monday, crews were at the scene sifting through the rubble and clearing the site. Princeton Fire Chief Chuck Woolley confirmed a fire origin and cause team official, along with electrical and building engineers, were on site reviewing and investigating electrical cords, building structure and burn patterns to determine a possible cause. Woolley said a report will be sent to him once the clean-up is complete. It’s undetermined how long it will take.
