‘Heartache Tonight”

PRINCETON — “Heartache Tonight,” a tribute concert to the music of the famous rock band, the Eagles, will be at 7:30 p.m. today, Saturday, at the Grace Performing Arts Center, 316 S. Main St., Princeton. Six musicians in live performance reprise the harmonies and guitar-playing of the original Eagles. Individual tickets are $18. Food drive

PRINCETON — The 21st annual Letter Carrier Stamp Out Hunger food drive will be May 11. Non-perishable food donations may be left by mailboxes.

Meeting planned

LADD — There will be an organizational meeting for volunteers for the Ladd Get Your Rear in Gear 5K at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Dick’s Tap on Main Street in Ladd. The 5K\k will be at 10 a.m. May 25 in Ladd and is sponsored by the Colon Cancer Coalition, with funds raised going to benefit local cancer patients. Book fair

SPRING VALLEY — The St. Margaret’s Auxiliary will hold a book fair from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 16 and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 17 in the hospital’s lower lobby. For more information, call 815-664-1130.

Donations wanted

PRINCETON — The Princeton Veterans Group is accepting donations of good used items for an upcoming rummage sale in June. If you have items to donate, call Brad Oeder at 815-866-9349 or the American Legion Post at 815-872-1171 and leave a message. Arrangements can be made to pick up larger donations such as couches, TVs, tables/chairs, computers, etc. Small kitchen appliances will be accepted if in good working order. This is a major fundraiser for the group.
