Manlius Historical Society meets

MANLIUS — The Manlius Historical Society met May 2 at the First State Bank building, 122 E. Maple Ave.

Prior to the meeting, New Bedford Royal Neighbors Camp 1491 presented a check to the Manlius Historical Society for $5,303.26 — $4,303.26 was drawdown profit and $1,000 was their matching fund.

President Robert Andersen, after call to order of eight present, asked Kenneth Rodgers for minutes of the April 4 meeting, which were approved. The financial report, also given by Rodgers, was approved and also approved was a down payment on a stairlift of $1,132.25 and to paint stairs, prior to installing lift. A motion to hire Kurtz Glass to install glass in display case was approved, as was a motion to put RNA on donation plaque.

The group’s next meeting will be at 6 p.m. June 6 in the village hall.
