The Bradford Junior High seventh-grade science classes have been studying the animal kingdom. Landen Hoffert is pictured with his model of a 13-lined ground squirrel. Students researched three different animals and then selected one to create a model. The animal model was to be to scale. The animals they researched were to live in prairies of Illinois. Some of the animals studied were a sand piper, eastern meadowlark, several snakes, squirrels, coyote and many others. On May 3 they held an open house to display their animal models and research.
