HENRY — Claudia H. Schubert, 91, of Princeton, formerly of Henry, died at 1:27 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.
Claudia was born Nov. 4, 1921, in Henry to Edwin “Henry” and Genevieve “Laura” (Kuhn) Hufnagel. She married Charles Schubert in April 1942. He preceded her in death in 1966.
Surviving is one brother, Ray Hufnagel of Henry; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Henry and was a farmer’s wife. She often helped with the farming and chores.
Claudia was a very good cook, often hosting family gatherings. She collected many cookbooks over the years.
Claudia will be remembered for reading the newspaper and clipping many items from the paper.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, “Downtown Chapel”, 416 Edward St., Henry, with Father Tom Mizeur officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Henry.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
