Playground won’t slide to baseball diamond
MANLIUS – After a few months of discussion, the Manlius Village Board has decided not to remove the playground equipment at the Bureau Valley Alternative Education School and place it near the baseball diamond off of North Main Street.
On Tuesday, board member Jan Williams said she looked into bids for the project, and they ranged from $7,000 to $10,000 to move and place the playground structure.
Williams said she also spoke with a representative from the playground’s manufacturing company and found out the company would not remove the structure because it was outdated and no longer Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) approved.
