PRINCETON — Connie Jo (Fox) Schmutz, 55, of Princeton passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.
Born Feb. 26, 1958, in Chicago to Ivan and Evelyn (Harmon) Fox, she married Arlin Schmutz Aug. 24, 1996. He survives.
She graduated from Princeton High School in 1977. She was a retired nurse's aide.
She attended Princeton Bible Church and the Peoples Church in Princeton. She was a former member of Crime Stoppers and also volunteered at the Princeton Youth Baseball food stand and at Safety Awareness for AMVETS.
Also surviving her mother, Evelyn Fox of Princeton; two nephews, Jason (Jamie) Fox and Bryce Nyman; one sister-in-law, Karen (Shawn) Nyman; and 22 additional nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ivan Fox; her brother, Jeff Fox; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, with Pastor Ken Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Princeton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to a fund that has been established in her name.
