Sallee Beneke receives education award
CHAMPAIGN URBANA — Sallee Beneke of Princeton was presented a Distinguished Alumni Award by the University of Illinois Department of education. She was one of 11 recipients who received the award at a ceremony held on April 13 in Champaign.
Beneke received her PhD in Special Education from the University of Illinois in 2010. She currently works for St. Ambrose University in Davenport as an associate professor.
She has developed and coordinated many tools for teaching young children such as: the Illinois Project in Practice, Illinoisearlylearning.org and Apples Video Magazines for Illinois STARnet.
