Rummage sale

PRINCETON — The Princeton Veterans Group will hold a two-day rummage sale in the American Legion parking lot at 1549 W. Peru St. in conjunction with the “More or 34” weekend. The sale will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 14 and 15. Lots of items will be offered for sale at reasonable prices, including furniture, books, bicycles, trinkets, holiday decorations, lamps, clothing and the usual items. A.L.S. benefit

TISKILWA — An A.L.S benefit supporting Art Walters will begin at 5 p.m. June 15 at the Tiskilwa Fire Department. The event will feature food, music and a silent auction. Tickets are $12 per person. MP Relay for Life

HENRY — The 2013 Marshall Putnam Relay for Life event will be from 4 p.m. to midnight Saturday at Central Park in Henry. This year’s event features two honorary cancer survivors, musical entertainment and other activities. The luminaria ceremony will be at 9 p.m. and will honor those that have been affected by cancer. Food will be available for purchase.

King reunion

WALNUT — The James King annual family reunion will be Sunday at the Walnut Community Building. A social hour will be at noon and dinner will be at 1 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring two dishes to pass and table service. Coffee and lemonade will be furnished.

5K run/walk

WALNUT — A 5K run/walk benefit to help with medical expenses for Jessica Wallace-Sergeant of Walnut will be at 9 a.m. Sunday. Race registration and finish will be at the Walnut Park District. Several years ago, Jessica had cancer and surgeries to beat it. Now it has come back and she is facing more surgery and treatments.
