Manlius 1932 to 1953 grads gather for reunion

PRINCETON — The Manlius High School classes of 1932 to 1953 gathered at Hunter’s Ridge Golf Course in Princeton on May 18 for the Grand Reunion II.

Sixty-two classmates and their guests attended the event, including Sen. Calvin Schuneman, a graduate, and his wife Dorothy. Guests enjoyed a social hour and refreshments before a buffet meal. After the luncheon, presentations were given by the Manlius Historical Society and Bureau Valley School Foundation. The Bureau Valley Show Choir, directed by Ann Lusher, performed for the guests.

Favors, created by Mr. and Mrs. Howard Johnson, were given to each guest. Corsages were given to Luella Schuneman Olson, believed to be the oldest living alumnus of Manlius High School, Verla Teske Fordham and Viola H. Bovey, the oldest lady graduates attending the reunion . A boutonniere was given to Kenneth Stier for being the oldest male graduate in attendance.
