Princeton City Council

PRINCETON — The Princeton City Council conducted the following business at its June 3 meeting in City Hall:

• Accepted a proposed contract with Cloudpoint, a company in Roanoke, to provide GIS services. The city has set aside $25,000 from the water department and $25,000 from the electric department in its annual budget to enhance the city’s internal GIS mapping program.

• Adopted an ordinance amending the Princeton City Code to place a stop sign at the Dallas Street and Eastmor Drive intersection.

• Appointed Derek Fetzer and Mike Taylor to the Lovejoy Homestead Board to replace Ezby Collins and Dorothy Herrick, respectively.

• Approved payment of bills as follows: $51,349 in Public Affairs and Department of Accounts and Finances; $67,709 in the Department of Streets and Public Improvements; $103,800 in the Department of Public Health, Safety and Civil Defense; and $887,270 in the Department of Public Property and Utilities.
