Standley to celebrate 90th birthday

An open house to celebrate the 90th birthday of Robert Standley, formerly of Zearing, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. June 22 at the Community Center in Bucklin, Mo.

He was born June 24, 1923, near New Boston, Mo. He moved to Illinois in 1943. He married Florence Olson March 26, 1944; she passed away in 1980. In 1981, he married Nola Schmidt of Princeton.

Robert has five children, Marcia (Paul) Wooden of Polo, Wanda (Cecil) Miller of Bloomington, Linda (Bob) Krzywda of New Jersey, Calvin (Beth) of Malden and Keith (deceased, 2012).

Robert farmed in Bureau County. In December 2005, he and Nola moved to New Boston, Mo.
