The Western Bureau Valley League is in full swing with two weeks of the season in the scorebooks. Here’s a rundown of some recent scores:

Minor League Baseball: Winning pitcher isiah Foster had nine strikeouts in Sheffield-Buda’s 9-07 win over the Princeton Tigers 7-6. Max Wollerman doubled and drove in two runs and Evan Nimrick (rbi) and Foster added doubles. Sheffield also beat Walnut II 16-5 behind Foster (6 Ks) and Wollerman (2 rbis), Justin Kopp (rbi) and Carter Balensiefen (rbi), but lost to Annawan 6-5.

Little League Baseball: Sheffield-Buda scored a 13-6 win over the Princeton Tigers, but mustered just one run against Annawan (5-1) and Manlius (10-1).

C League Softball: Sheffield-Buda rallied with four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to trip the Princeton Cardinals 10-9. The S-B girls fell to LaMoille 10-9 and the Cardinals lost to Walnut I 8-7,

Softball games are played on Mondays and Wednesdays with baseball games played Tuesdays and Fridays this year.
