Illinois Valley Community College’s Continuing Education office will host “Sciensational Electronics Lab Camp” for children ages 7 to 12 June 24 through June 27.
Students will perform 30 different projects and experiments with their own electronics kit in the hands-on workshop. The camp will stimulate children’s minds by using easy to understand experiments that will increase their knowledge of electronics.
Participants will keep an 80-page manual, a solderless circuit board, 12 resistors, two capacitors, two light-emitting diodes, two transistors, a battery snap, diode, speaker, timer, photocell, rectifier, potentiometer and switch.
Students will be grouped by age. Registration is due by June 17 and tuition is $149. For more information contact Continuing Education program Manager Kim Koehler at 815-224-0207. For a listing of all summer offerings, visit www.ivcc.edu/cec.
